AACC Ambassadors

The Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center (AACC) Ambassadors are a group of student representatives selected to help spread the word about the educational, cultural, and social services provided by the AACC and the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA). As an Ambassador, students are responsible for helping to plan, promote, and work events sponsored by the AACC, provide tours of the Center, and to act as liaisons between the LSU and Baton Rouge communities and the Cultural Center.

The Black History Month Committee is a student fostered organization advised by the Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center. The organization's mission is to provide educational and informative programs that help celebrate the outstanding achievements and strides of African Americans, not only during Black History Month but throughout the entire year. Some of our signature programs held annually are the Mr. and Miss Imani Scholarship Pageant, Sankofa Poetry & Open Mic Night and College Reunion. These student-led programs, and more, comprise our committee. For more information you can visit the Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center or email us at aacc@lsu.edu.
