Industrial Hygiene Manager


Phillip Bellan currently serves as LSU’s Industrial Hygiene Manager. He is responsible for conducting annual laboratory ventilation hood surveys to ensure students, professors, and researchers can conduct their work safely. He also aides all departments by responding to indoor air quality complaints, ergonomics concerns, and conducting exposer monitoring to chemicals of concern. He also works closely with those who need respiratory protection by designing respiratory protection programs and conducting fit testing.

Mr. Bellan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from LSU and a juris doctorate from Southern University. Mr. Bellan is also certified in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
