Hearing loss impacts communication and everyday life. Some frequently reported symptoms of hearing loss include the following:

- Difficulty understanding speech
- Difficulty hearing in background noise
- Requiring louder volume with television
- Asking others to repeat themselves
- Avoiding social situations
