LSU Announces 2021 Homecoming Queen and King
LSU announced the 2021 Homecoming Queen and King on Saturday, October 16 during the game with Florida. The full court and senior royalty candidates were introduced at halftime and completed the traditional walk across the stadium field. Claudia Henry, a Mass Communication senior from Watson, La. was announced Homecoming Queen, and Chandler Black, a Sports Administration senior from Atlanta, Ga. was announced Homecoming King.

LSU Selected to Apply for National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations
The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) program recently selected LSU as the sole university allowed to apply for the CAE-CO designation in 2021. This designation is currently held by only 24 other universities across the nation. It’s an achievement that would not have been possible were it not for LSU Computer Science and Engineering Professor Golden G. Richard III, who is also the associate director for LSU’s Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) and director of LSU’s Applied Cybersecurity Lab.

LSU Professor Zack Godshall Premieres New Documentary Film
"The Laughing Man," a feature documentary by LSU Creative Writing and Screen Arts professor Zack Godshall is set to premiere at the New Orleans Film Festival next month. Screenings will be held at the Broad Theater on Nov. 13 and 14 at 5:45 p.m. each night. The film will also be available to stream online via the festival platform from Nov. 5 - 22.

When someone has ER+ breast cancer, the cancer cells’ growth is facilitated by the estrogen receptor.
