The College of Science Office of Diversity and Inclusion is committed to fostering exemplary educational and professional opportunities that support individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion, accessibility, or socioeconomic status. We firmly believe that the College’s mission to serve as the primary intellectual resource for Louisiana is intimately tied to our ability to support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of individuals that make up the rich cultural heritage of our great state.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion offers opportunities for students to come together and create an inclusive future for STEM.

Faculty Resources

Our office provides resources to our faculty and staff to include Diversity Statements in syllabi to foster an inclusive and welcoming space in and out of the classroom. A group of faculty and staff also sit on a Diversity Committee to help steer the college's DE&I efforts.
